Crafting a path to kitchen excellence

Kevin O’Neill has wanted to work with wood for as long as he can remember. And having worked for a number of years in the construction sector as an Architectural Technologist, his love for woodwork would eventually see him retrain as a cabinet maker, specialising in handcrafted kitchens in the late 2000s. First-hand, he had seen disappointing trends emerge in the kitchen industry during Ireland’s housing boom and knew there was an appetite for change. In the rush to secure new work, some homeowners had been poorly advised, leaving them with kitchens lacking much thought or tailoring.

Providing creativity, craft and customer focus

As a qualified Architectural Technologist and cabinetmaker, Kevin knew he could offer something completely different to the kitchen market. What he felt was missing was that single focus, that determination to guide homeowners throughout the entire process with courtesy, curiosity and conviction, enabling them to create a kitchen that was meant for their home, and only their home. Teaming up with his wife Joanne, also an architectural professional, they took the plunge and OnCraft was born in 2010.

For Kevin & Joanne, their vision for OnCraft from day one was a simple marriage of thoughtful, impactful design backed up by approachability, honesty, and hard work. And with Kevin’s talent and love for woodworking and Joanne’s natural instinct for design and people-loving personality, it’s a partnership that delivers on every level. Now employing a team of seven at their workshop in Leighlinbridge Co. Carlow, OnCraft goes from strength to strength, combining a complete customer focus with an appreciation for beautiful design and fine woodworking.
